2012 - Travis Perkins acquires Tool Station

2010 - 2011

2010 – Travis Perkins plc acquires The BSS Group plc.
2011 – Travis Perkins opens its first sourcing office in Shanghai, China.
2011 – PTS is named National Builders’ Merchant of the Year at the Builders’ Merchant News Awards.

2008 - 2009

2008 - Travis Perkins merchanting business opens its 600th branch in Epsom, Surrey.
2008 - City Plumbing Supplies opens its first Renewable Energy Centre in Bournemouth.
2008 - Tile Giant acquires Tile Magic and Tile It All UK.
2008 - Travis Perkins plc invests in mybuilder.com – a website designed to help consumers find suitable tradesmen for their project.
2008 - Wickes is voted Britain’s favourite place to shop for DIY (Verdict survey).
2008 - Travis Perkins plc opens its first store in Ireland, a Wickes store in Limerick with partners Moritz.
2009 - Wickes is voted Britain’s favourite place to shop for DIY for the second year running (Verdict survey).
2009 - Subscribers to Which? magazine vote Wickes as the top DIY retailer.
2009 - CCF is voted the best overall supplier by trade members of the FDPC (Federation of Plastering and Drywall Contractors).
2009 - British consumers rank Travis Perkins 14th in the top 50 companies by reputation (Global Reputation Pulse Study 2009 by the Reputation Institute).

2006 - 2007

2006 - An historic occasion for Travis Perkins plc, as it opens its 1,000th branch in Hatfield, Hertfordshire.
2006 - Travis Perkins plc wins the Company Driver Safety Award (Commercial vehicle category) at the prestigious Fleet Safety Forum Awards for Excellence.
2006 - Travis Perkins plc launches a new brand, Benchmarx Kitchens and Joinery - a trade-only one stop shop for the small specialist joiner.
2007 - Travis Perkins plc opens its first dedicated Merchanting Park in Loanhead, Edinburgh featuring three of the Group’s businesses, Travis Perkins, CCF and City Plumbing Supplies.
2007 - CCF acquires SLBM Systems.
2007 -Travis Perkins acquires Tile Giant.

2000 - 2005

2001- Travis Perkins plc opens its 500th branch in Preston.
2002 - Travis Perkins plc acquires City Plumbing Supplies Limited and CCF.
2003 - Travis Perkins plc acquires Jayhard and B&G.
2003 -Travis Perkins plc is awarded FSC and PEFC Chain of Custody Certification in recognition of the strong commitment shown by the group to using responsibly managed timber resources.
2003 - First national builders merchant to be awarded ISO 14001 environmental accreditation.
2003 - Voted Business of the Year at the Northamptonshire Business Excellence Awards.
2004 - Achieves Chain of Custody accreditation for all timber-supplying branches - more than any other national merchant.
2004 - Football legend Sir Bobby Robson opens the group's 750th branch in Newcastle, signalling a new milestone in the group's history.
2005 - Travis Perkins plc acquires Wickes Home Improvement Group.
2005 - Group colleagues raise more than £327,000 for the group's two nominated charities, the NSPCC and Macmillan Cancer Relief - a new group record.
2005 - Awarded Hire & Rental Catalogue of the Year by HAE (Hire Association Europe) - the hire industry's premier awards.

1990 - 1999

1993 – Zenith Plumbpoint is formed, becoming the second largest distributor in the domestic plumbing & heating market.
1994 - Travis Perkins plc acquires AAH.
1996 - Travis Perkins plc acquires BMSS.
1999 - Travis Perkins plc acquires Keyline Builders Merchants and Sharpe & Fisher.
1999 – BSS Group plc acquires PTS.

1970s - 1980s

1970 - Sandell, Smythe & Drayson merges with Ingram Perkins to form Sandell Perkins offering a wide product range to service the construction industry.
1970 - Travis & Arnold begins more than a decade of substantial acquisitions including Brown & Son of Chelmsford, Ellis & Everard Building Supplies, and Kennedys.
1972 - A joint venture between Wickes Corporation and UK builders merchant Sankeys leads to the first Wickes store being opened in the UK at Whitefields, Manchester.
1986 - Sandell Perkins becomes a public company.
1987 - Wickes becomes a public company.
1988 - Travis & Arnold and Sandell Perkins merge to become Travis Perkins plc

1950s - 1960s

1950s - BSS begins a decade of acquisitions including A Wragg, H Frankish, and B Rhodes & Son.
1950s - BSS acquires a controlling interest in Mucan Ltd and Russells Brass Foundry.
1962 - BSS becomes a public company.
1964 - Travis & Arnold becomes a public company.

1900s - 1940s

1902 - BSS opens its first branch in London .
1904 - Travis & Arnold moves to Northampton and opens a number of branches in the Midlands as a merchant of timber and other wood products.
1910s – BSS opens branches at Liverpool, Glasgow, and Clerkenwell.
1935 – Travis & Arnold acquires Brickmore & Brickmore.
1940s – BSS branches in London and Liverpool are blitzed – there are no casualties.
1940s – BSS beings supplying internationally to Belguim, Luxembourg, India, Egypt, Turkey, and Jamaica.

1790s - 1890s

1797 - The Benjamin Ingram company is founded at 33 Beech Street, City of London, trading as joiners and carpenters.
1800 - 1850 - Ingram begins selling hardwoods to other joiners as the fashion for furniture timber moved from Oak and Elm to Mahogany.
1899 - BSS registers as a company.
1899 – Travis & Arnold forms as a partnership.
