Ready to earn and learn in a company with 20+ industry leading brands? We’ve got two great ways in.

Studied up to GCSE level and looking to develop all-round trade knowledge and customer service experience? Then our one-year Branch Apprenticeship is the route for you. It gives you the chance to work in a range of different branch roles, which means you’ll gain plenty of practical experience – and it leads to a nationally-recognised Level 3 Apprenticeship

Want immediate responsibility and support to develop great leadership skills? Then our two-year Management Apprenticeship will be for you. You’ll get to work across a range of roles in branch, learn about accounting and competitor analysis, develop your management and leadership style and make real decisions with real consequences. This route leads to a Level 3 Management Apprenticeship and aims to deliver our managers of the future.

Whichever TP apprenticeship you choose you’ll need to be motivated, ambitious and up for working in a fast-paced, diverse environment. We’ll give you plenty of support but you’ll also get ownership, responsibility for real work and the freedom to figure out how to do things your way. That’s the way we like our ‘family’ to grow.

As well as gaining great experience and a rewarding benefits package, on our Branch Apprenticeship you’ll take home a salary of £160 per week, while on our Management Apprenticeship you can expect an annual salary of between £16,000 - £18,000.

Branch Apprenticeship recruitment happens throughout the year so it’s best to keep an eye on our website for details of current vacancies. Our Management Apprenticeship scheme starts in September and we generally start recruiting for these roles from May onwards. If you put as much into your apprenticeship as we do, there’ll be a permanent job offer waiting for you at the end of it.

(3) Can I apply if I don’t have a full work permit?

Sorry, No. We only consider applications from those with a full and valid permit to work in the country in which they are seeking employment.

(4) What happens next?

If you have been successful you will be invited to attend an interview with a member of our team.

(5) What can I expect at an interview?

Friendly people and lots of questions! We’ll want to know all about your background and whether your skills match the role you are applying for. Of course, interviews work two ways so you’ll be encouraged to ask questions about the TP Group too.

(6) How long does it take to complete the Apprenticeship?

The Branch Apprenticeship is completed in one year.

The Management Apprenticeship is completed in two years.

(7) What qualification will I get at the end of my Apprenticeship?

The Management Apprenticeship is a Level three Management Apprenticeship which is equivalent to two A-Levels.

(8) Do the Apprenticeships offer genuine qualifications?

Yes. Both of our Apprenticeships offer externally recognised qualifications that are accredited by Pearson and the Institute of Builders Merchants (IOBM), which reflects the quality of our training.

(9) Will I be working in a safe environment?

The safety of our colleagues is very important to us, so your training on or off-site will always be supervised by trained members of the Branch team or trainers from our Training Department.

(10) What happens at the end of my Apprenticeship?

Your progress will be continually reviewed throughout your Apprenticeship and we will look for opportunities to develop your career.
