Braving the elements: Taking employee training to new heights

Travis Perkins plc aren’t widely known for encouraging their colleagues to battle against the elements in Arctic conditions, wade through ice and snow or scale the side of a mountain, but for one adventurer it was all just part of working life at the building materials supplier.

Sustainability Champion: James Vance

James Vance joined Travis Perkins in November 2010 bringing with him his passion for the environment. He joined after a role with the MOD as a Sustainability Policy Officer, working with construction teams to design sustainable buildings and making contractors aware of sustainable policies. It was a real eye opener that led James to where he is today.
